A welcome meal of traditional haggis, neeps and tatties, Perth Provost Liz Grant welcomed curlers from across the world to the inaugural City of Perth Ladies International at Dewars Centre. Provost Grant praised the organisers and recalled the the Roaring’ Game had its ancient roots in Perthshire.

Perth and Kinross Council, together with Mercure Perth Hotel and local business had pledged their support along with title sponsors EDF Energy. Many of the local business had taken the opportunity to sponsor individual teams – and during the CiviC Reception they were invited to meet their teams and wish them well.
